Do I need a permit to demolish in Saskatoon?

Most building demolitions in Saskatoon need a demolition permit from the City, and utilities (power, gas, water) have to be disconnected first. Smaller jobs like decks or interior work may have different requirements.

We'll tell you exactly what your project needs during the quote and can help you through the paperwork. Our Saskatoon demolition permit guide walks through the City's steps.

How long does demolition take?

Smaller jobs like a shed, deck or set of stairs are often done in a single day. Garages and interior gut-outs usually take one to a few days, and a full house depends on size, permits and whether any abatement is needed. You'll get a clear timeline with your quote.

Is it safe to remove asbestos myself?

No. Asbestos can be hiding in older drywall compound, flooring, ceiling texture, insulation and siding. Disturbing it releases fibres that are dangerous to breathe, and Saskatchewan has strict rules for how it's handled and disposed of.

If your building is older, have the materials tested before any demolition. We coordinate the abatement with our licensed abatement partner, so it's handled safely and properly.

Do you haul away all the debris?

Yes. Loading, hauling and proper disposal are part of the job. We leave the site cleaned up and ready for the next phase — no piles left behind.

Are you insured and WCB covered?

Yes. Demolition King Group is WCB covered and fully insured. We're happy to provide proof of coverage before your project starts.

Do you work outside Saskatoon?

Yes. We're based in Saskatoon and take on projects across all of Saskatchewan — including acreages, farms and smaller towns.

Are you really available 24/7?

Yes — call 306-514-9820 any time, day or night, weekends included.
